Chimps Learning
Acrylic, 37 x 25cm
The chimps are learning how to use a rock to crack a nut by observation, a significant act in that it was previously thought (by some) that only humans were able to learn through pure observation in this way.
The source photo is not my own, it was copied from a nature book when I was 16 years old, learning to paint (that process is ongoing). The name of the book is lost so if anybody wants acknowledgement please let me know or just send some balaclava-wearing lawyers through my window, Iranian-embassy-seige style.
